Elise, Juipter and it's 63 known moons!
Each semester Elise and Caleb have had a major project to complete for school.
This semester Caleb studied the human body and could choose between doing a notebook or life size poster detailing each of they systems. He chose the poster. . . Let's just say that after we traced his body onto the posterboard we had to increase the size of the body siginificantly to have enough room for each of the organs, muscles and bones to fit inside the lines! Perhaps if he ate more than bread . . .
Elise on the other hand has been studying the different planets and had to do a planetary paragraph and art project on Jupiter. In trying to come up with ideas for her art project, I asked how many moons Jupiter had. Her response of "63 known moons" blew me away. Dad came up with the idea of cutting styrofoam balls in half and then painting them differently to indicate each of the moons. The finished piece is pretty amazing! She has to read her paragraph to the class today and on Friday for Friends and Family Day. We'll let you know how it goes.

Tell Elise, that is a way cool science project!
ReplyDeleteWill do. She presents the paragraph with it on Friday. I am going to attempt to video it. . .
