Tonight, Caleb's baseball team, the Grasshoppers lost their game against the Iron Claws. Caleb made some great plays and was commended by Coach Doyle for being one of two players paying attention in the outfield. He did a great job while playing pitcher and outfield. It has been enjoyable to watch him learn how to play baseball, seeing it sink in a little more each game. I am learning that I have to watch myself, lest I become a "baseball mom!"
Caleb told me this evening after the game, that he has wanted to play baseball his whole life and he sure is glad he gets to play. I am also glad that he gets the chance to play on a league that makes it fun.

That whole "baseball mom" thing? Um, a little too late! But I think it is wonderful!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt may be too late on one hand, however I don't have to "act" like a baseball mom! I am trying to control my tongue and attitude. Rrggurr.
