A Clean Desk is a Sign of a Sick Mind . . .

I remember a sign that my Dad had in his office while I was growing up. It read "A Clean Desk is a Sign of a Sick Mind." As keeping my desk clean is a constant struggle for me, I thought it was an appropriate if smart alecky blog title.

After Crossfit yesterday morning I spent a few hours ironing and mending. This morning's baseball game was called due to rain, so the kids and I had a few free hours. As Greg was heading out this morning he called to let me know that the "Community Garage Sale" was on and it might be fun for us to check out.

We finished breakfast, piled in the car, found some change and entered the garage sale fray. At the first stop we found some great hard cover Dr. Suess books and were eyeing some sidewalk chalk - which one of the children whose home we were in front of swooped out and took back in the garage whining that she didn't want to sell it! Oh my gravy!

One of the next stops found a great stomp Monster truck (Grave Digger), a Tonka ambulance and frog jump rope. We also found some more great books, "Rascal," "Around the World in 80 Days" as well as many children's books. My favorite treasures were two ivy topiaries, two dark wood saddle type bar stools, a pair of funky orange shoes with sequins and seashell with a matching purse.

After getting home with our treasures and cleaning them appropriately we had some lunch. I made pizza dough for our dinner tonight. Carmelized Onion, Sausage and Cheese Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, Cheese Pizza and maybe some Tomato and Basil with the cheese I have (not planning to go back out for Mozzarella :0

Looking forward to the Lord's Day tomorrow - we have been thoroughly enjoying our Sunday School class which has covered the history of Redeemer Presbyterian. Calvin attends with us, as he is not too sure about the 2 and 3 year old nursery. . .

Weather permitting Caleb will have a make up baseball game tomorrow afternoon against the Express.

Blessings,

Kami
