A year ago on this day we were celebrating Caleb's 6th birthday with Papa and Beda. Beda made an amazing rocket ship birthday cake! On his actual birthday we took them to the airport to fly home. We had breakfast at the Magnolia Cafe after driving away from the airport in tears. Caleb had ice cream after his breakfast since it was his birthday. That night we went to a Round Rock Express game. We didn't know anyone in Austin.
This year to celebrate Caleb's 7th birthday we are going to a Round Rock Express game, joined by Caleb's friend Jacob, from church and school. (We may actually go to Chuck E Cheese instead. . . due to the rain.) On his actual birthday we will be at a Grasshopper's baseball game watching Caleb play.
I am thankful for all that we have learned this last year and that we are at this point in time.
Part of me can't believe it's been a whole year... another part of me hurt over every minute. I miss you guys more not less as time goes by. But I am happy you are gaining some footing. God is taking care - good care - of all of us...
